Course Outline

WHO IT’S FOR:
Those seeking to add a Hazmat Endorsement (H) to their existing commercial license.

What are ELDT courses & why do drivers need them?

As of February 7th, 2022, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) now requires entry-level Class A CDL drivers to complete required training from a registered training provider (TPR) before obtaining a CDL or specified endorsement for the first time. The Entry Level Drivers Training (ELDT) courses Missoula College offers meet federal requirements and test results are certified with the FMCSA.

The ELDT courses Missoula College offers support those:
  • Obtaining a Class A CDL for the first time
  • Upgrading to a Class A CDL
  • Seeking a Hazardous Materials endorsement (H)

*Missoula College does not currently offer endorsements for School Bus (S), Passenger (P), Tanker Vehicles (N), or Doubles and Triples (T).
