Is there an age limit for obtaining a Commercial Driver License (CDL)?
Yes. An applicant must be at least 18 years of age. There is no upper age limit for obtaining a CDL, however, an applicant must be able to pass the Department of Transportation (DOT) physical. Does a Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) qualify an individual to drive a Class B vehicle?
Yes. A Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) qualifies the driver to drive all Class B vehicles (dump truck, cement truck, straight delivery truck, etc) except for those Class B vehicles which require a passenger or school bus endorsement. Does Missoula College offer a Class B-only Commercial Driver License (CDL) program?
No. The Missoula College Commercial Driver License (CDL) program is a Class A License program, which qualifies applicant to drive any Class B vehicle (dump truck, cement truck, straight delivery truck, etc.) except those Class B vehicles which require a passenger or school bus endorsement. What happens if a student does not pass the State Commercial Driver License (CDL) exam?
Remedial training is scheduled according to Missoula College availability. Remedial training cost is $75 per hour. Requisite remedial hours are at instructor’s discretion (minimum four hours). State Commercial Driver License (CDL) exam rescheduling cost is $200.
